Description
Melbourne, Victoria born all-rounder James Giller was a right-hand batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler who played his grade cricket for the South Melbourne club, and made his State debut for Victoria in the 1894-95 season. He played 19 first class matches through to 1904-05, making two centuries and four half centuries with a highest score of 125, totalling 1,016 runs at State level with an average of 31.75. With the ball he took 41 wickets at 26.21 apiece, with a best performance of 7-51, claiming five wickets in an innings on one other occasion. He also took 16 catches in first class play.
