Description
Malta born all-rounder George Leach batted right-handed and was a right-arm fast bowler who first played for Sussex in 1903, playing 226 first class matches through to his final appearance in 1914. As a batsman he scored 5,870 runs with an average of 18.93 and a highest score of 113 not out, one of two career hundreds. As a bowler he claimed 413 wickets at 27.94 apiece with a best performance of 8-48, with a single ten wicket match and 19 five wicket innings.
