Description
Warren, New South Wales born Raymond “Mick” Bardsley was the 11 year younger brother of Australia batting stalwart and captain Warren Bardsley, and like his brother, Mick represented New South Wales, playing 11 first class matches for the State between the 1920-21 season and 1924-25. In 14 first class innings he scored 410 runs with a highest score of 87 (the dreaded number for Australians, known as the Devil’s number as 13 shy of 100 – 111 is the English equivalent known as the Nelson!), one of two first class half centuries, at a very respectable average of 31.53.
His brother by comparison… (let’s not go there – best click on a link below and read all about him).
