Description
Barnwell, Northamptonshire born right-arm medium pace bowler John Buswell appeared in 61 first class matches for Northamptonshire over the final four seasons before the outbreak of the Second World War in 1939, which effectively ended his career, having made his County debut in 1936. With his bowling he took 172 wickets at an average of 32.84 with a best performance of 7-61, and he took 10 wickets in a match once, with five wickets in an innings on 5 occasions. A tail end batsman, he managed a high score of 30 and averaged 7.50.
