Description
Forest Hill, London born left-arm medium pace bowler Charles Capes represented Kent 33 times between 1923 and 1928. A right-handed batsman, he could be useful in the lower order and averaged 16.18, with a best score of 65 not out against Lancashire at Maidstone in 1928, his only half century in the first class game. With his bowling he took 55 wickets at an average of 25.10 apiece, twice taking five wickets in an innings with a best performance of 7-20 against Leicestershire at Tonbridge in 1927. He was capped by the County that year.
