Warrington, Lancashire born right-hand batsman Sydney Crosfield who scored 2,027 runs in 96 first class matches at an average of 14.90 between 1883 and 1899, with a highest score of 82 not out. He also bowled occasionally taking 3 wickets at 50 runs a piece with a best return of 1-1, and he also held 49 catches. He was was Lancashire’s club captain in 1892.
