Aliwal North, Cape Colony born right-handed middle order batsman Claude Floquet had a first class career of just six matches which were spread over six seasons between 1904-05 and 1910-11. He toured England with South Africa in 1907 without making their Test team, making his Test match debutĀ in the Third Test of the series against England on their tour of 1909-10, which was played at the Old Wanderers Ground in Johannesburg in March 1910. IndeedĀ all of Floquetās first class matches were played there. In the Test match he made 1 and 11 not out as England won by 3 wickets. His highest first class score was 29 although with a high number of not outs his average was a respectable 26.00, with 104 runs scored.
His older brother Bertram also played 11 first class matches for Transvaal between 1902 and 1913.
