Description
Balham, London born right-arm medium-fast bowler William Nevell made his County Championship debut in 1936, but having played for both Middlesex and Surrey before the Second World War, he joined Northamptonshire after peacetime cricket resumed, and played two further seasons of first class cricket in 1946 and 1947. In 51 first class matches, he took 105 wickets at an average of 33.21 with a best performance of 4-11, and with his batting he scored a single half century, making an unbeaten 55, averaging 9.31 in 81 innings.
