Description
Jamestown, South Australia born all-rounder Bill Stirling was a right-handed batsman who bowled left-arm medium pace, who made his debut for South Australia in 1908-09. In addition to South Australia, he represented the Australian Imperial Forces Touring XI in 1919. In 47 first class matches through to 1920-21 he scored 931 runs at an average of 14.32 with a highest score of 62 and four other half centuries, and with his bowling took 61 wickets at 31 apiece with a best performance of 5-26, taking two other five wicket hauls and also holding 33 catches in first class play.
